Ministry Overseer | Jeremiah Upshur

Jeremiah Upshur has been part of Peacemakers since its founding in 1994, when he was sixteen years old. By 1999 he had been entrusted with leadership of the youth ministry, and he has continued to serve in both pastoral and administrative roles in the years since.

On June 12, 2021, Jeremiah married Nicole Upshur, and on May 27, 2022, they welcomed their son, Solomon David. Nicole serves alongside her husband at Peacemakers as a helpmate and a Godly role model to the women and children of the ministry.

Jeremiah worked closely with his father, Pastor Steve Upshur, until Pastor Steve’s passing on August 8, 2026. Since that time, the board of directors has confirmed Jeremiah in the position of overseer for the ministry.

Pastor Steve & Elaine Upshur

Pastor Steve is the original founder of Peacemakers International. He has been in full-time ministry since 1980. Pastor Steve is well known for being unconventional, his ability to connect with people, and his care for others! He is a dynamic speaker with a reputation for telling it like it is. Promoting unity in the body of Christ is among his main ministry passions, as Jesus prayed that all His people would be one.

Mrs. Elaine Upshur is also in full-time ministry alongside her husband. She diligently handles much of the behind-the-scenes business of the ministry. Elaine is gifted in the areas of intercessory prayer as well as teaching! She loves to teach “common sense” themes to those she influences.

Pastor Steve and Elaine Upshur were married in 1977 and have four children: Jeremiah, Daniel, Jonathan, and Joy.
